LIP FRUIT, MIND FRUIT

LORD HELP ME

Words are powerful! When I think about the condition of the world, I feel  saddened, knowing that much of the chaos is because of negative speaking from people’s lips. What happened to that can do attitude  of our movie heroes and local inspirational folk?  Jesus talked about how words’ influence our atmosphere and world.

Luke chapter 6 verse 45 The new living translation elaborates this truth clearly.

A good person produces good things from the treasury of a good heart, and an evil person produces evil things from the treasury of an evil heart. What you say flows from what is in your heart.

Of course the Bible says that none of us are good, (meaning perfect) ,but  our heavenly Father does require us to try to be as much like him as we can, and it is possible with our helper and counselor the Holy Spirit.

Today,  as I wiped down my spotted white kitchen cabinets thoughts about my chaotic world flew out.  I’m  an intercessor, part of the 24/7 strategic Prayer conference family and Pastor Augusto’ Perez’s The Appearance Ministries women’s battalion. We are given prayer points each day and the topics and urgent prayers range from troublesome to utterly staggering. Often, I wake up fully believing that  God had indeed resolved d some of the  crisis. We intercessors know from experience that our God is gracious and merciful and desires to see good come out of bad circumstances.  We see many victories  and success stories from people from all walks of life across the globe.

As my thoughts continued flowing, I wondered if I was responsible for adding negativity by any careless and decided to call two women up to encourage.

My sisters and I were brought up by a very unhappy and negative mother (God rest her precious soul) who constantly complained and found fault with everything we did.  She seemed to go out of hr way to  scrutinize and focus on other people’s flaws even when she left her house to go grocery shopping or to her bank. Her example strongly influenced us, ( although I vowed that as a child of God I(  would not allow myself to adapt any ungodly attributes because it was displeasing to Father.  Sadly, my sisters develop-ed low self-esteems and  anxiety-related illnesses.

Somehow despite my high grad- point college average at graduation, I inherited my mother’s negative strongholds and ancestral curses. My sisters and I had difficulty being successful in our perspective gifting s.  I know that there was no logical reason that I never gained success in any of my many talents, including music, fashion, graphic design, and writing or photography talents.  There also was no denying that I wasn’t gifted as my college professors were always impressed by my work ethic and creativity.  But after remarrying, I found I could only go so far on a very limited and local platform. Frustration consumed me often. I had to find out what the mystery was. It just made no sense that all my efforts were often futile or sabotaged by some unseen force. I saw many of my fellow Christian brothers and sisters as well as non-believers who enjoyed and/or made a decent living for themselves and their families.

So, today, Proverbs 18:31 blares out like a foghorn in a black-misted sea. It is the answer to my dilemma. Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. The New Living Translation says, The tongue can bring death or life;   those who love to talk will reap the consequences. In other words, rest assured fruit, whether positive or negative will grow from the words we speak!

All the utterings of humanity course and clash violently with each other. The righteous declaring life and hope declarations, while witchcraft and the resentful curses of the wicked lasso the faithless and fearful. If only the world could understand the implications of their speech so the healing truth of Christ could heal and  bring order, rest and restoration.

My experience and fellowship with the anointed intercessors on our daily conference prayer calls and prayer battalions have proven to me that truly our lips are powerful conduits of supernatural strength when aligned with the living truth of our precious Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ. Hearing the intercessors testimonies and victorious lip feats prove that it is possible to wield power and authority through our very words!

Many more of us need to understand how our very words which are (and have caused) the world’s cruelty, genocide, human-trafficking, pollution, and chaos. We must also understand that when we lose sight of being spiritually-connected to the natural world, (instead of receiving our fulfillment from our cell-phones, I-pads and computers), unity and productive communication is lost.  Inanimate technology cannot substitute the depth of human  Koinonia (fellowship) and conversational intimacy. So, being tethered to technology causes us inadvertently to be an active participant in spiritual warfare. Many do not want to believe in the supernatural or satan, but it is a reality and those who deny satan’s powerful influence are witnessing the hell and hopelessness of people’s lives. We intercessors know from experience that satan is alive and well and we are the teeming battalions across the globe who are opposing evil as we wage vicious warfare, with our Biblical and positive declarations!
