WRONG CHORD, WRONG PEOPLE

Miles Davis is one of the greatest Jazz  trumpeters-composers of all time, but this blog is not so much about Mile’s transcendent talent as it is his keen insight, intuition and sensitivity.

For me to appreciate Jazz and be so influence by this eclectic and sometimes complicated genre of music, is a true testimony to God’s desire to give good gifts to his children. I had no musicians in my family, but as a young girl, I had an uncanny gift to be able to know harmony. I loved to sing but had no idea I would have such a love of composing, experimenting with chords and playing my guitar quite many years later. So this jazz thing continues to compel me and my appetite for the scrumptious diminished, flatted fifths and major/minor chords teased my ear. My jazz artistry really grew, working with the incredible Calabrese brothers David and Michael.

Jazz became more and more a part of me and even though I was nursed on rock.  As lead vocalist, fronting my first Christian hard rock band, The Promise with lead guitarist, Chris Durante, I wanted to fuse the complex, sophisticated chords of Jazz with the power of Rock. Chris happened to be on the same wavelength as I and we composed many enduring collaborations whcih fused hard rock with Blues and jazz, thanks to jazz drummer. Tom Hill. When I learned the guitar, the sky was the limit for me and I wrote my first jazz song a month after learning the guitar!

God must have created me to be a jazz girl because the more my ear yearned for the gorgeous, unconventionality of Jazz, my appetite was continued quenched by fining jazz artist on the wonderful Christian music network, Indie heaven, founded by Keith Mohr. At Indie heaven, independent Christian artists could network and find a platform for their music.  being  jkazz-0folk female singer-songwriter, I connected with two of Indie heaven’s amazing Jazz ladies, Celeste Talley,  a sweet songbird crooner and Kerensa Grey, whose sultry, thick ,molasses voice that set all the dudes at ease. We had our prime star Drew Davidson, making a big name for himself all over the east coast.

Though it’s been hard to find a place for my Joni-Mitchelly voice and guitar style, I expect to find my niche…some day

jazz-improve

And today, I couldn’t stop thinking about Kerensa’s post last year. Out of the blue, I remembered being so struck by Mile’s Davis band member sharing his experience of playing a wrong chord. Amazingly, through the myriads of old posts, I landed on that video. It really blew my mind when the player said Miles didn’t even lose his composure or make a face (like some of my past band mates would yell, belittle and deride our bandmate who played a sour chord, or lost there place in the song)  He improvised his chords,  making them fit with the off chord! That is genus.

Now, isn’t that so like our God, Our heavenly father who is the Jazz King. He never gets disgusted with us if we made a mistake, disrupts His plans or  veer of the road. As we abide in His leadership as our Leader of the band, he somehow works around our wrong chord!

miles-davis

Miles Davis’ band mate learned not just an astounding music lesson that day, but a life lesson. He was blessed to sit under a gracious leader. May we who are uptight, scrutinizing and demanding of others remember that when we cover each others weaknesses, we make ourselves look gracious. It is guaranteed that everyone of us has been or will do something that looks like an idiot. My desire is to so see people as my brothers and sisters who,  like me, have praiseworthy things to find and focus on and not the bad first impression whcih stays cemented in someone’s mind. I know one thing, I will never forget this video and plan to adapt the gracious, forgiving leadership style of Miles Davis as my musical and life pattern !

The SHEEP & the GOATS

jesus-sheep-and-goats

My prophetic journalistic instincts are kicking in as I read some of the bickering, mocking strife comments on many Facebook timelines. Participation in the political  leanings repulses me, because I desire to see God’s perfect will and plans for  America. Sadly, many, including God’s children,  have lost site of the covenant  blessings God has for those who are His own.  May  God’s Holy Spirit give you a revelation of His  His truth.

First off, I want to remind you all that He loves all people. Everyone of us are created in His image. But, Jesus said, God will separate the sheep from the goats. What does that mean? Some of us are goats, (rebellious & doubting). Some of us are sheep (obedient to his will and word). Jesus said, “My sheep hear my voice.”

In regards to all the hoopla, scandal and pandemonium of  our president elect, my focus continues to be “How can God’s beloved, covenant people participate in Father’s perfect will, to redeem America from her staggering wickedness and disobedience and bring forth His harvest of souls.” God’s intent is to redeem souls from eternal damnation and the deception-wickedness of the past eight years administration.

We need to understand that God is God. He created the universe and can do whatever He chooses to do. We  can choose to follow His plan or oppose it. Men, in our vain arrogance often think our logic and ingenuity is superior, but God can put any of us in our place at the utterance of just His word. Historical annals  tell us how King Nebuchadnezzar, dining in all his opulence was told by the prophet Daniel that his kingdom would be suddenly taken from him and he would live his life as an animals outdoors in the elements. It took this great humbling, for the king to come back to his senses and pay honor and homage to  Jehovah God.

Our votes do not bring a new president in. God ordained each of our presidents for a reason, whether it be to chasten his own people for their apathy regarding His  righteous law or to bless them, (because they fell on their faces and repented and fasted for years). Let it be know that God will and can choose a crazy, non-conventional, cowardly or obnoxious person, just to confound the wise and arrogant. And he is doing just this.

Let us remember that our God is a Holy God and why should he bless America when His own people eschewed our duty to be the salt of the earth and the city on a hill. Is he pleased that our parents and grandparents  never made any outcry when the Roe VS Wade decree was passed and millions of babies were slaughtered in the womb.  How about  His people showing contempt for their Jewish brethren and the state of Israel? And also the worst transgression of all, pushing God himself out of America. There are countless unrighteous executive orders, threats to our US Constitution and decrees we have paid no attention too. ( Not to even  go into detail of our brethren in the middle east and third world nations).

We children of God should be fruit examiners. This is how we can tell if one is godly or ungodly.  Jesus said, “You’ll know them by their fruits.” Mat 7 16-17  Many of us reporters, journalists and commentators have done our research and have seen the fruits of eight years of  this  administration. Upon deep (unbiased, godly)  reflection, have the fruits given any glory to God?  It could take years to reverse the unbelievable damage to our nation’s legacy as a Christian nation. We will be examining Donald J Trump’s fruits soon enough, but until then, God’s people need to yield to God’s choice and continually surround him with prayer and fasting for His divine wisdom and Revelation. Christian brothers and sisters, we have much work to do.

It would behoove us all if we take a step back and ponder who this God is before it’s too late and we find ourselves in shock, standing before Him, with the books of life opened.

And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. Rev 20:12

It makes my heart tremble that Christ would say to me, “depart from me, you that work lawlessness. May none of us stand before our Lord and be ashamed that we rebelled against His righteous law.

May your reading of the following  verses  enlighten you as to why  it is beneficial and  glorious to serve eh most high God. He is our protector, provider, lover of our souls and healer. NO other God can promise these blessings for their people.

Deuteronomy 28

Blessings and Curses

If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations on earth. All these blessings will come on you and accompany you if you obey the Lord your God:

You will be blessed in the city and blessed in the country.

The fruit of your womb will be blessed, and the crops of your land and the young of your livestock—the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks.

Your basket and your kneading trough will be blessed.

You will be blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out.

The Lord will grant that the enemies who rise up against you will be defeated before you. They will come at you from one direction but flee from you in seven.

The Lord will send a blessing on your barns and on everything you put your hand to. The Lord your God will bless you in the land he is giving you.

The Lord will establish you as his holy people, as he promised you on oath, if you keep the commands of the Lord your God and walk in obedience to him. 10 Then all the peoples on earth will see that you are called by the name of the Lord, and they will fear you. 11 The Lord will grant you abundant prosperity—in the fruit of your womb, the young of your livestock and the crops of your ground—in the land he swore to your ancestors to give you.

12 The Lord will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none. 13 The Lord will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the Lord your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom. 14 Do not turn aside from any of the commands I give you today, to the right or to the left, following other gods and serving them.

Curses for Disobedience

15 However, if you do not obey the Lord your God and do not carefully follow all his commands and decrees I am giving you today, all these curses will come on you and overtake you:

16 You will be cursed in the city and cursed in the country.

17 Your basket and your kneading trough will be cursed.

18 The fruit of your womb will be cursed, and the crops of your land, and the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks.

19 You will be cursed when you come in and cursed when you go out.

20 The Lord will send on you curses, confusion and rebuke in everything you put your hand to, until you are destroyed and come to sudden ruin because of the evil you have done in forsaking him.[a] 21 The Lord will plague you with diseases until he has destroyed you from the land you are entering to possess. 22 The Lord will strike you with wasting disease, with fever and inflammation, with scorching heat and drought, with blight and mildew, which will plague you until you perish. 23 The sky over your head will be bronze, the ground beneath you iron. 24 The Lord will turn the rain of your country into dust and powder; it will come down from the skies until you are destroyed.

25 The Lord will cause you to be defeated before your enemies. You will come at them from one direction but flee from them in seven, and you will become a thing of horror to all the kingdoms on earth. 26 Your carcasses will be food for all the birds and the wild animals, and there will be no one to frighten them away. 27 The Lord will afflict you with the boils of Egypt and with tumors, festering sores and the itch, from which you cannot be cured. 28 The Lord will afflict you with madness, blindness and confusion of mind. 29 At midday you will grope about like a blind person in the dark. You will be unsuccessful in everything you do; day after day you will be oppressed and robbed, with no one to rescue you.

30 You will be pledged to be married to a woman, but another will take her and rape her. You will build a house, but you will not live in it. You will plant a vineyard, but you will not even begin to enjoy its fruit. 31 Your ox will be slaughtered before your eyes, but you will eat none of it. Your donkey will be forcibly taken from you and will not be returned. Your sheep will be given to your enemies, and no one will rescue them. 32 Your sons and daughters will be given to another nation, and you will wear out your eyes watching for them day after day, powerless to lift a hand. 33 A people that you do not know will eat what your land and labor produce, and you will have nothing but cruel oppression all your days. 34 The sights you see will drive you mad. 35 The Lord will afflict your knees and legs with painful boils that cannot be cured, spreading from the soles of your feet to the top of your head.

36 The Lord will drive you and the king you set over you to a nation unknown to you or your ancestors. There you will worship other gods, gods of wood and stone. 37 You will become a thing of horror, a byword and an object of ridicule among all the peoples where the Lord will drive you.

38 You will sow much seed in the field but you will harvest little, because locusts will devour it. 39 You will plant vineyards and cultivate them but you will not drink the wine or gather the grapes, because worms will eat them. 40 You will have olive trees throughout your country but you will not use the oil, because the olives will drop off. 41 You will have sons and daughters but you will not keep them, because they will go into captivity. 42 Swarms of locusts will take over all your trees and the crops of your land.

43 The foreigners who reside among you will rise above you higher and higher, but you will sink lower and lower. 44 They will lend to you, but you will not lend to them. They will be the head, but you will be the tail.

45 All these curses will come on you. They will pursue you and overtake you until you are destroyed, because you did not obey the Lord your God and observe the commands and decrees he gave you. 46 They will be a sign and a wonder to you and your descendants forever. 47 Because you did not serve the Lord your God joyfully and gladly in the time of prosperity, 48 therefore in hunger and thirst, in nakedness and dire poverty, you will serve the enemies the Lord sends against you. He will put an iron yoke on your neck until he has destroyed you.

49 The Lord will bring a nation against you from far away, from the ends of the earth, like an eagle swooping down, a nation whose language you will not understand, 50 a fierce-looking nation without respect for the old or pity for the young. 51 They will devour the young of your livestock and the crops of your land until you are destroyed. They will leave you no grain, new wine or olive oil, nor any calves of your herds or lambs of your flocks until you are ruined. 52 They will lay siege to all the cities throughout your land until the high fortified walls in which you trust fall down. They will besiege all the cities throughout the land the Lord your God is giving you.

53 Because of the suffering your enemy will inflict on you during the siege, you will eat the fruit of the womb, the flesh of the sons and daughters the Lord your God has given you. 54 Even the most gentle and sensitive man among you will have no compassion on his own brother or the wife he loves or his surviving children, 55 and he will not give to one of them any of the flesh of his children that he is eating. It will be all he has left because of the suffering your enemy will inflict on you during the siege of all your cities. 56 The most gentle and sensitive woman among you—so sensitive and gentle that she would not venture to touch the ground with the sole of her foot—will begrudge the husband she loves and her own son or daughter 57 the afterbirth from her womb and the children she bears. For in her dire need she intends to eat them secretly because of the suffering your enemy will inflict on you during the siege of your cities.

58 If you do not carefully follow all the words of this law, which are written in this book, and do not revere this glorious and awesome name—the Lord your God— 59 the Lord will send fearful plagues on you and your descendants, harsh and prolonged disasters, and severe and lingering illnesses. 60 He will bring on you all the diseases of Egypt that you dreaded, and they will cling to you. 61 The Lord will also bring on you every kind of sickness and disaster not recorded in this Book of the Law, until you are destroyed. 62 You who were as numerous as the stars in the sky will be left but few in number, because you did not obey the Lord your God. 63 Just as it pleased the Lord to make you prosper and increase in number, so it will please him to ruin and destroy you. You will be uprooted from the land you are entering to possess.

64 Then the Lord will scatter you among all nations, from one end of the earth to the other. There you will worship other gods—gods of wood and stone, which neither you nor your ancestors have known. 65 Among those nations you will find no repose, no resting place for the sole of your foot. There the Lord will give you an anxious mind, eyes weary with longing, and a despairing heart. 66 You will live in constant suspense, filled with dread both night and day, never sure of your life. 67 In the morning you will say, “If only it were evening!” and in the evening, “If only it were morning!”—because of the terror that will fill your hearts and the sights that your eyes will see. 68 The Lord will send you back in ships to Egypt on a journey I said you should never make again. There you will offer yourselves for sale to your enemies as male and female slaves, but no one will buy you.

God’s promise toy you:

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

UNITY of the BRETHREN

Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!  PSALM 133

Since a young girl I’ve always wanted to live happily with my sisters, get along with my classmates, have wonderful friendships and be obedient to my parents.  In that aspect,  I haven’t changed. I still want more than anything to be reconciled to all those in my circles.

Sadly, I’m noticing people are acting strange. I’m hearing about  rivalry,  jealous criticism and just plain being overly touchy, (thin-skinned).

Right on Facebook, I hear about people being “unfriended” without a reason and no communication! So, what is that all about?

My friends have  asked, What did I do?”

Obviously, the  person  who unfriended forgot about Jesus saying we must forgive our brother 70 times 70!  I’m hoping to remind myself and anyone that we shouldn’t diss  people for the smallest of reasons and if they did offend us, please tell me what I did. I would be more than happy to discuss and move forward in our relationship.

Let;’s also remember  that satan is the  accuser  of the brethren. He stands before Father to accuse us and his cohorts whisper lies or exaggerate  a small fault we have to make it bigger than it really is. We are all overwhelmed ( and forgetful) with family, jobs and especially the bad things happening around the world.  We need to stick together and give each other the benefit of the doubt. We can’t read each others’ minds and sometimes something we said or something we may have forgotten to do hurt or offended you.

Let’s all talk together in love and stay close , edify and strengthen each other, (as our LORD says)  Let’s get over ourselves and get on with tweaking each other in words of love, edifying and  proper, honest & loving communication! This is for anyone I may have “unknowingly offended:)  Blessings and LOVE to all.

TRUE DISCERNMENT

True Discernment Oct 15, 2014

His fathomless eyes pierced deep withing hr spirit. She felt a cool, gentle cleansing come over her thoughts and memories. She thought of the cruel, demeaning men who had misused and abused her. She thought of her valueless existence and total dependence on her latest partner. Her parents and siblings had long disowned her, calling her a whore and lazy woman. Every time, she met a man, they somehow tricked her into even more sell-loathing and shame. Each man added more baggage and shame.

As the man continued to probe her and talk to her, her eyes started to fill with tears. He had the most compassionate eyes, she had ever seen. His voice was gentle and h seemed genuinely interested in her. Could he really see that she was a broken woman who had a deep longing for a man to cherish and respect her. She no longer had a soul, but now she was mesmerized and couldn’t move from her place at the well.

Most of us are familiar with the story of the Samaritan woman at the well. Here is a glorious picture of our Savior, Yashuah Jesus discerning the life and spirit of a precious woman who needed deliverance and healing. We also know the story of how Jesus chose Matthew to be one of His disciples. Tax collectors in Biblical days were treated with hostility and avoided at all costs. Many were greedy and dishonest, but in spite of the prejudice, Jesus saw Matthew’s open and willing heart and what he was capable of being for Jesus’ ministry and the kingdom of God.

How often have we made hasty judgements of people and even our brethren just by looking at, observing their habits or listening to their speech. During Jesus’ discourse with the woman at the well, we notice that he was attentive and asked for her to draw water for Him. Indeed, she was intrigued and very surprised that he took notice of her. The beauty of this supernatural encounter with Jesus was that the Samaritan woman was not uncomfortable, nor did she seem afraid as he talked to her. Then Jesus gets very personal and says he knows she’s had five husbands and she was not married to her latest partner. As the discourse progresses, Jesus offers her the gift being forever watered and satiated by living water from an eternal well spring!

By the time Jesus finished talking with her, she was forever transformed! She was so jubilant that she couldn’t wait to tell everyone she knew of the Saviors Messiah whom she had been saved and delivered! This happens to be one of my favorite stories of the Bible, because I too was a person a mixed ancestry, who never fit in school or with others. I also suffered from my mother throwing me out of our house in senior year of highschool. I also suffered harassment from school and had difficult relationships with former pastors who misunderstood and judged me wrongly On top of all that mess, I had s string of relationships with men who were emotionally broken, needy and lacked self-worth. I truly related to that lonely, but precious Samaritan women.

In our encounters with people, we deduce that nudge in our spirit to be Holy Spirit discernment. We must remember that since we are so close to Christ;’s return, deceiving spirits and false prophets will proliferate the landscape of Christendom. We must be constantly on guard and in God’s presence to differentiate between the holy and the profane. We must stop and lsiten to His voice and ask “is this God, from satan or my suspicious, paranoid flesh”? God’s people must be extremely alert and sensitive to navigate through the maze of spiritual information and manifestations. Through making so many mistakes and suffering from lack of true discernment, I’ve paid a heavy price for not having the needed knowledge I needed. It can be frustrating for young believers to learn how to have discernment, the know the difference between conviction or condemnation.
How can the child of God accurately discern by Holy Spirit?

The first thing I do when I arise is pray Psalm 19:14 May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer.

And
Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. Psalm 139 23&24

If I feel a spiritual impression, my husband often asks me, it is God’s nudge or satan’s nudge. That got me a little nervous and I knew that I had to get serious and seek him earnestly and ask for confirmation. Recently I was very comforted by pastor Pastor Robert Morris’ (Gateway Church ) Special teaching, The God I Never Knew, He explains the transforming and loving nature of the Holy Spirit. He is so meticulous about us seeking and receiving all the precious gifts God has for us and that we need not be afraid of receiving a bad impartation from satan or a counterfeit spirit!
.
Now suppose one of you fathers is asked by his son for a fish; he will not give him a snake instead of a fish, will he? 12″Or if he is asked for an egg, he will not give him a scorpion, will he? Luke 11 11&12…

When we pray continually like this each morning and evening of our lives, he will truly guide us. If we are searching for Him more than the gifts and blessings, He will show himself great and show you great and mighty thing as he said to Jeremiah. 33:3

Father desires for his children to prosper in every area of our lives and be in health.

If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. James 1:5

Wisdom and direction is available to all of us including how to deal with brothers and sisters who are in error or about to make a serious mistake in their lives. We shouldn’t immediately jump on their case and condemn them without first praying about how to address an issue.

But the wisdom from above is first of all pure. It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy and good deeds. It shows no favoritism and is always sincere… James 3 17&18 .

We should aspire to be led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. Romans 8:14
If we stay in the word and in His presence, we will rarely be led astray, Jesus told us
Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.…John 15:4&5

Having discernment means to bear and to judge good fruit.
You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes nor figs from thistles, are they? So every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears bad fruit. 18″A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, nor can a bad tree produce good fruit.…Matt 7 16&17

We are also told to est the spirits to see they if they are of God. 1 John $:1

Here is the challenge of the children of God. Not every one who names Christ is truly a son or daughter. In these very dark days of deception and false prophets, it is even more crucial for God’s people to walk in true Holy Spirit discernment. Kundalini, (false spirits) has infiltrated many, many churches and charismatic denominations today. Great discernment is sorely needed so that non believers and new born believers don’t become fearful when it comes to experiencing the supernatural gifts and manifestations of the Lord!

Let us remember that Father God of lights protect His own. Blessed are the pure in spirit for they shall see God. Those who seek him with all their heart shall find Him. Jer.29:13

I’ve seen and experienced too many unnecessary mistakes by God’s people who suffer and die from lack of knowledge and wisdom. Truly wisdom is the principle thing,

Young believers also need to be discipled and nurtured in the things of God. I didn’t have a spiritual mentor, so I suffered many difficult and unnecessary grievances, most involving pastors. One former pastor often called me into his because of questions other pastor would call him about. This pastor questioned why I dressed the way I did, was suspicious about needing to have temporary food from the church food pantry and my purchasing of a Taylor guitar. I was deeply wounded by my pastor’s suspicion of my every action. I felt such hurt, I had to find another church and I ended up in a well know Calvary church, in Old Bridge, NJ. At first, the worship pastor was excited and supportive to learn I was musically gifted. He said he would love me to sing on the worship team soon. Months later, when I asked him when I could audition, his seemed distant and cold and told me that I would have to begin at the bottom, the Broken Loaves food pantry ministry, before I could lead worship!

Another pastor of an AG church mistrusted my worship leading. As soon as people started feeling the anointing raise and the strong presence of God by lifting their hands and worshiping, he would interrupt and dismiss every one to go home! I was very grieved and I’m sure so was Holy Spirit. After these spiritual traumas, I knew that Father God was teaching me a lesson about praying and seeking His will for my life and calling. I didn’t seek discernment and wasted precious time in churches where I didn’t really belong. I put all my trust in pastors and asked their opionion about everything, rather than asking Father!

I’m growing and learning, though and Father is so gracious! I seek Him with a pure and passionate heart and find complete affirmation, acceptance and guidance. I’ve learned that His style and way is disimiliar from my earthly father’s rigid and harsh discipline, I had to learn when to leave an atmosphere of abuse or legalsim. God sent very rigid and intimidating pastors so I could learn to be led by His precious Holy Spirit and to know that his way and will for my life, ministry and marriage. Would be very different for someone else! I see His precious hand in my own husband’s and my unconventional and challenged relating dynamics and marriage. Only Holy Spirit can guide our unique paths. Both my husband Mark and I have encountered some disturbing experience with false pastors and their ministries. .
We must ask holy Spirit for even more guidance and discernment as we see the many strange manifestations regularly occurring on Christian TV which try to imitate our God. Kundalini spirit operate in many of these “cults”. The leaders of many of these churches are prideful and mammon-greedy, lording over their flocks. There is too much opulent living through begging for “seed offerings” and such. Many have lost their focus on serving and preaching repentance and holiness.

We must get back to basics and pastors, bishops and leaders need to start following Jesus’ commandment of love, otherwise, the church will be filled with division, strife, suspicion, condemnation, deception and wasted kingdom potential

Before we barge into anyone’s life or church like a bull in a china shop, we must lay at our Father’s feet and ask Holy Spirit for His direction. Unbridled zeal rarely brings about gentle acceptance and revelation. While going into deep study about false (Kundalini) spirits and true discernment I came upon a relevant statement from Andrew Strom, author of “Why I Left the Prophetic Movement). The book is a shocking expose of what is going on in God’s house. The following words echo my exact feelings when it comes to ministering in love by His wisdom and discernment.

A lot of people think that to be a prophet, you have to be hard…..When I was a
young Christian, I was a total zealot., but I was often without wisdom….and also
without love. I would walk into a room full of Christians and start an argument at
the drop of a hat.. I was not afraid to blast anyone … truth was king!. That was the
most important thing and that was all I cared about! ..

Over the years, God did a work in me…..From God’s point of view, the most
Thing in the world is PEOPLE! In those early years, it was not peopel that I
truly cared about. The only thing I deeply valued was the truth that I was trying
to put across that day. And as I attacked and spiritually hacked at people all
day, I was a spiritual nightmare!

If you love your truths more than you love people, then you are an out-and-
out pharisee….If you can get broken enough to truly love people and value them
more than anything else on earth, then speak truth to them out of that place of
love. Listen friends
you can do anything with truth, you can use it to beat people up or set them
free. You can use it in love or you can use it in self-righteousness to hammer and
condemn people.

Father, may your people truly be a city on a hill whose light is so compelling that it draws All men unto you. It’s not by power, not by might but by Your Spirit sayeth the Lord. Teach us to discern how we are to minister to each individual soul. My our discourse be so enthrallingly lovely, as Jesus spoke to that Samaritan woman at the well and may they be totally joyful and transformed by your love! In Jesus’ name, we pray, amen

I also suffered from my mother throwing me out of our house in senior year of high school.

We must stop and listen to His voice and ask “is this God, from satan or my suspicious, paranoid flesh God’s people must be extremely alert and sensitive to navigate through the maze of spiritual information and manifestations. Through making so many mistakes and suffering from lack of true discernment, I’ve paid a heavy price for not having the needed knowledge I know seek. It can be frustrating for young believer to learn how to have discernment, the know the difference between conviction and  condemnation.
How can the child of God accurately discern by Holy Spirit?

The first I do when I arise is pray Psalm 19:14 May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer.

And
Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts.

He is so meticulous about us seeking and receving all the precious gifts God has for us and that we need not be afraid of receiving a bad imparatinion from satan or a counterfeit spirit!

I put all my trust in pastors and asked their opinion about everything, rather than asking Father!

I’m growing and learning, though and Father is so gracious! I seek Him with a pure and passionate heart and find complete affirmation, acceptance and guidance. I’ve learned that His style and way is disimiliar from m y earthly father’s rigid and harsh discipline, I had to learn when to leave an atmosphere of abusive or rigid. Both my husband Mark and I have encountered some disturbing experience with false pastors and their ministries. .
We are asking father for even more guidance and discernment as we see some may strange manifestations that try to imitate our God. Besides the alarming amount of Kundalini spirits we are seeing on Christian TV channels, we also notice many are also cults. Many of these leaders are prideful and mammon-greedy lording over their followers! I see too much opulent living through begging for “seed offerings” and such.

That was the most important thing and that was all I cared about! ..

Over the years, God did a work in me…..From God’s point of view, the most
Thing in the world is PEOPLE! In those early years, it was not people that I
truly cared about.

My People Perish For Lack of Knowledge

My People Perish for Lack of Knowledge.
A Journey of Spiritual Recovery and Revelation

It’s been quite a roller coaster ride being in the throes of my intense healing regimen as well as looking on helplessly as friends and loved ones struggle for their lives in hospitals and at home. Since my last blog, a friend lost her battle with cancer and another friend survived a brain-tumor surgery leading to his losing his faculties and lying in a pitch-black room with his covers completely shrouding him! My father has been transferred to yet another hospital. His doctors are still at a loss on how to stabilize his high blood pressure which would often suddenly elevate for no reason. At present. he is clinging to his life regarding a clot in his leg. Yesterday, another dear spiritual sister called me from the hospital suffering with an unknown malady.

I wake up each morning and say my special healing prayer with assurance that God hears my declaration of faith! But I’m heart-broken that so many of my Christian friends and family members are enduring great struggles with health and healing. I keep asking Father God for answers and I keep hearing the same refrain… “My people perish for lack of knowledge!

Thinking about all these sickness and the diminished of their quality of lives, I determine to seek wisdom and understanding. I’ve never been one to just accept adverse circumstances, especially when they deal with the break-down of our bodies. Christ remind us that surely we will have trials and afflictions, but He has given us the covenant of healing and restoration. It is His perfect will to be in good health. 3rd John 1& 2

I continue to chronicle and meditate on my spiritual and physical progress. As I research the Bible and medical sites, I continue to seek Holy Spirit’s guidance. I notice one thing in common with all my friends and loved ones when a doctor diagnoses their condition. Most of them implicitly trust in whatever the doctor prescribes, however risky or life-threatening. Now I must reiterate the problem here is not just succumbing to a serious illness, but most of these people made no effort previously to prevent the disease coming on in the first place!

Sadly, my loved ones and friends acquiesced to orthodox medicine’s way of treating disease…with drugs. I refuse to go that route, preferring to allow God’s healing to restore me. Upon seeking Him whole-heartedly, because I know He knows best, I’m gaining more understanding each day. He has been faithful because I have surrendered to His wisdom. It has been a very difficult feat to unravel the mystery of my past emotional traumas and sins meshing with the environmental constituent. Holy Spirit reminds me that body, soul and spirit are all connected. The medical community sorely lacks the understanding of this truth and millions of people are dying. Millions of people have also gotten worse because of prescription drugs. Don’t take my word for it, do your own research.

As I continue to forge forward dissecting truth from the confusing maze of information and spiritual understanding. I pray that you too will uncover the error and wrong mindsets that brought you to this place of physical and emotional breakdown in the first place! Your path and choices may be very different from mine, but I pray that the books, links and materials I share in
The number one area of healing should be to ask God first. Pray and seek Him as never before. He loves you and His Bible has all the answers you need. There are also great Bible teachers who teach the perfect way of Healing through scripture verses. They are your spiritual medicine and must be declared several times a day.

Pray and ask God about medicines the doctor prescribes. I came upon the scripture verses in Gal., 5 19-21. In almost every case, pharmaceuticals are not the best choice for healing. Some may help a serious condition, but after that, other options should be investigated. The following links are very helpful regarding what the Bible has to say about healing.

I want to stress the most important aspect of this blog…your thinking! Your mind is the key element to your restoration. The Bible says:

“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind”.2 Tim 1:7

The NLT (New Living Translation) translate a sound mind KJV as self-discipline.

Walking in divine health certainly does entail discipline. Daniel and his 3 friends declined eating the fine food and wine at the king’s table and asked to subsist on vegetables and water. Their pure dietary regimen which affected their health proved to the king their wisdom and discipline was beneficial to His service. God allow his people to use their free will.

You say, “I am allowed to do anything”–but not everything is good for you. You say, “I am allowed to do anything”–but not everything is beneficial. 1 Cor 10:23 NLT (New Living Translation)

That included choosing what to put in their temples! Many of God’s precious people suffer from illness and die because they refuse to discipline themselves in good nutrition! That is truth and that is fact. We reap what we sow. I am thankful that because of my desire to please my Heavenly Father in all ways, I sought to discipline myself by eating organic, becoming vegetarian, drinking pure water and exercising

Henry W. Wright’s book, “A More Excellent Way to Be in Health, has been an astounding treasure chest of spiritual healing information I have ever read! Henry delves into deepest recesses of our minds, bodies and spirit’s. Here is where I discovered the reference of my emotional mind-sets and how they influenced my health and immune system capability! I discovered that my mind was very sick because of how my mother raised me, how I responded to trauma and how doors were opened for evil spirits to gradually wear me down! Fear is one of the most powerful emotions and invite a host of other damaging perspectives and behaviors.Henry also explains how some people inherit negative behaviors and mind-sets from their parents and ancestors. The only way to realign healthy perspectives and thought patterns is to permeate the mind with the powerful Biblical scriptures. This is how God’s people overcome sickness, disease and death…through a regenerated mind!

Dr Caroline Leaf, Communication Pathologist, who holds a doctorate in Speech and Communication pathology proves that destructive thoughts can cause damage to the dendrites in our brain! Her page, Though Life show how powerful our brains are and what we can accomplish when we choose to think positively!

I’ve also broken some ground through the powerful and anointed ministry resources from Derek Prince ministries. The late Derek Prince, is a highly anointed and compassionate man of God whose demeanor is always straightforward, yet gentle. Because of his ministry, I’m coming to grips with many unconscious traumas from my past that have kept me from walking in all of God’s fullness. Many Christians seem not to struggle with ancestral curses or strongholds, but there are indeed many hapless and innocent children of God who have been enslaved by the sins and transgressions of their parents and grandparents.

Derek’s booklet “Pulling Down Strongholds” is an excellent resource as well as his DVD teaching, “How to be Delivered”. You’ll be very surprised to know that even evangelical, born-again people of God can be demonized, (oppressed) although they cannot be possessed by demons. I highly recommend these materials for anyone who is desperate to heal from an abusive past.

One of the best books on Divine healing, “Healing the Sick” by T.L. Osborne is resplendent with uplifting scriptures, testimonies and Bible truths for the sick or dying.

If you have given up on traditional ways of healing, I guarantee your hope will be rekindled when you surrender your life to the Lord! These resources I’ve shared have so enlightened me regarding the issue of healing. Each day, presents itself with renewed hope as the Holy Spirit remove all my past heartaches, old negative thought patterns and traumatic incidents that scarred me for so long. Discipline yourself to start a new regimen, starting with prayer, praise and quiet time with the Lord. Stay focused. You have to remind yourself, you are forming a new positive, Christ lifestyle. The Holy Spirit will give you new revelation and you find yourself invigorated as His word recharges your drained spiritual batteries!

I have only love, compassion and great excitement for your new life in Christ through His divine healing pattern. I must admit also, that pursuing a music career used to be my focus, but Father God allowed the breakdown of my health to seek Him with all my heart!

I’ve been drawn to the book of Proverbs, one of my favorite books and chock full of ageless wisdom. But Jer. 6:16 fits in with many of the Proverbs

“Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the
good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls.

God tell us, “My ways are not your ways and your thought not my thoughts.” Nothing we could do, think or say could compare with God’s magnitude of wisdom and understanding. The wonderful thing about our heavenly Father is that He is eager and willing to share all of His knowledge and guidance…if we ask Him first!

5 If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. James 1:5 NIV

If a child of God wants to be successful, he must make it a practice to ask God first…about everything. The ancient, (Hebrew translation is must seek for the ancient paths ( the original translation of ancient is “heavenly.” So then, everything about God and what he wants to give us is divine…from above. As we allow Christ to transform our minds into His mind,we unlearn the old, futile and negative ways from the world, our parents upbringing and our own ideas. How urgent then it is for parents and teachers to guide children in the ways of God so they can prosper!

As you heal, remember to thank Him…even if it hurts.

It’s kind of funny, that having had a very successful tenure as a teacher of youth at Youth Advocate Program, Eatontown, NJ and behavior modification counselor at Nutri-System weight-loss centers, I am presently apprenticing under the Lord. I’m starting over and re-learning God’s pattern of life, health and success!

I hope to obey God’s word to be tender-hearted and nurture you all in wisdom and love. Many of you have been deeply wounded and have no idea how to break out of your old prison May of you have poor or no information. Many of you have had harsh parents, teachers, pastors, priests or rabbis who led you down the wrong path…of legalistic religion.

I hope to remind teachers to be very careful in our ministry to the fragile souls, (and even with ourselves) as we address deep unconscious areas that need God’s special healing!

We are to be tender-hearted (1 Peter 3:8, 1 Tim 5:1, Eph 4:32) to all. We are called to tell the truth in love.. Oh, how we need good, anointed teaching and good nurturing. Choose carefully who you will learn under. Most of what I’ve learned the hard way is by making my own mistakes The areas of dating/courting, nutrition, health-medicine are sorely lacking.

Know that to be blessed with knowledge and understanding is to be like searching for hidden treasure. Prov. 2 3&4

Derek Prince mentioned in his book that God’s people need to learn to think. That is the mistake most of us make when we become Christians. We seem to lose the ability to think for ourselves when we get under a pastor. That is why it is so important to study God’s word under the guidance of the Holy Spirit and to ask God to learn and grow under a loving and wise pastor! We have to learn to get deep and ask God for the very specifics.

Father I ask for your divine wisdom today for the reader of this post. I declare a divine connection between them and You, Lord. Open up the well springs of your wisdom and knowledge so they can declare your works and majesty. Holy Spirit, guide and enlighten them with all truth. Cleanse every area of their minds and help them to walk in the path of Divine healing starting now. In Jesus’ name, I thank you and pray. Amen!
