WHY I AM AN INVINCIBLE WARRIOR

*   You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.  1 Jn 4:4

*    “Tarry ye here at Jerusalem until ye are imbued with power from am high Luke 24:49

*    I Can Do All Things Through Christ Who Strengthens Me   Phil 4:13

*   And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out  demons; they will speak in new tongues.   Mark 16:17

*    Through these he has given me  his very great and precious promises, so that through  them I participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused  by evil desires.      2 Pet 1:4

*   No weapon forged against me will prevail, and I will refute every tongue that accuses  me. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and this is their vindication  from me,” declares the LORD. Is 54:17

*  Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he  trusteth in thee.   Isaiah 26:3

*   “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In   this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” 1 Jn 16:33

*    But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in  weakness.”  2 Cor. 12:9

*  “For who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct him?” But we have  the mind of Christ.

*    10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age,[a] against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints— Eph 6 10-18

*     For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does.  The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they  have divine power to demolish strongholds.  We demolish arguments and every  pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive  every thought to make it obedient to Christ.     2 Cor 10 3-5

*    Psalm 91

1 Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.[a]
2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.”

3 Surely he will save you
from the fowler’s snare
and from the deadly pestilence.
4 He will cover you with his feathers,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
5 You will not fear the terror of night,
nor the arrow that flies by day,
6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,
nor the plague that destroys at midday.
7 A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.
8 You will only observe with your eyes
and see the punishment of the wicked.

9 If you say, “The Lord is my refuge,”
and you make the Most High your dwelling,
10 no harm will overtake you,
no disaster will come near your tent.
11 For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways;
12 they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
13 You will tread on the lion and the cobra;
you will trample the great lion and the serpent.

14 “Because he[b] loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him;
I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
15 He will call on me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble,
I will deliver him and honor him.
16 With long life I will satisfy him
and show him my salvation. ”

Why was America formed?

The Declaration of Independence is one of the most prominent efforts by human beings to stand up in the face of tyranny and proclaim that every human being has God given rights to be free, to be protected and to pursue their lives the way they want to.

The Declaration was written by the rebelling Founding Fathers of the United States to declare their independence from the rule of Great Britain. Before its creation, most human beings lived under kings or dictatorships of one form or another. The men who signed the Declaration of Independence said, “Enough!” And changed the history of the world.

Why did God send His very own Son to suffer horribly and die for mankind?

The gospels are the infallible chronicles of our Redeemer and Lord Jesus Christ who stood up in the face of Satanical tyranny against Satan and his demonic legions to proclaim  emancipation to the prisoners! Hallelujah!

Isaiah 61:1 proclaims Jesus purpose to the world.

The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners,

Our heavenly Father and Creator of the universe created us for His good purpose, to enjoy fellowship with us. Adam and Eve were created to enjoy the glorious presence and blessings of their Heavenly father, not to be enslaved by sin, bondage and poverty Everything God created was good and beautiful

America and the rest of the world are slowly falling into captivity, just as citizens of England were weighed down with tyranny and oppression. It shocks me that in light of what Jesus did for us on Calvary and Him enduing us such mighty power, His bride has allowed America to fall from His grace. We are almost in the palm of satans’ hands!

I’m daily shocked and disheartened at the declarations and mind-sets of God’s people. They have accepted a substandard standard of living through their laziness, apathy and rebellion and are allowing our godly freedoms to be stealthily  edited by not being on the spiritual offensive. The church has had a lukewarm attitude about abortion, homosexuality, pornography and rampant sin. They have not only watched inappropriate TV, internet and radio broadcasting, but have also imitated its contents!  Rather than protested the evil bills that are being passed, we throw our hands up in the air. Like the Israelite s in the Book of Judges, who constantly fell into captivity by harsh and cruel nations, The Bride,  (God’s special and Holy people), seem to be following suit.

It is time for us to stand up and oppose the demonic principalities that are gradually trying to push us over the precipice and into the pit of captivity. Thank God for Jay Seculow of  ACLJ  http://aclj.org/ ,Pastor Ray Thoman, (Truth Warrior), http://hiaradio.com/  and Hal lyndsey, http://www.hallindsey.com/who are fighting injustice and evil through their bold  reports of what is really going on in our government. and the world

I urge you all to  strengthen your arms for the battle is about to explode. Never before is there such an urgency for God’s people to be on the offensive. If you choose to be neutral, you have made a choice and you will be accountable to God for those non-choices.

Choose today which side you’re going to fight on, satans side or God’s.  It’s one or the other. God bless you Warrior of the Most High God.

NO BETTER THAN VERMIN

Genocide, a word few want to envision at least not in their own country.

Each time I hear about another nation in the throes of genocide, I grieve that leaders of the developed nations have still not yet found a solution to this barbaric slaughter. Many still act as if it doesn’t exist.

“The”Attack of Darfur,”  like “Hotel Rwanda” and Schindlers List stirred me to do more than just grieve and complain.  The three movie were well made,  powerful and devastatingly provocative.   I realize I must do something about genocide.

These types of movies draw me into the terror,  hopelessness and cruelty the victims of genocide  suffer.  Most of us rarely do anything about an injustice until it happens to us personally.  I could only imagine the shell-shock of the victims as they saw their nemisis coming their way.  One by one, day by day  the people of the towns and villages were ambushed and overpowered by the machete-wielding marauders..

I wonder what God thinks as this happens. Does His holy angels and His people care? I wonder why the UN and the United States and all the developed Nations hesitated to unite and stop all of the atrocities.  Did any nations care to protest or intervene?

I never sleep after seeing any movies of such devastating consequences and especially the cruel slaughter of human beings as if they were no better than vermin.  Why was Genocide still happening and when would people start paying attention and doing something to end it once and for all?

My husband Mark and I went to hear  Elie Wiesel, Nobel Laureate and Holocaust survivor, speak at Congregation Torat El, 301 Monmouth Road, Oakhurst on Sunday, September 18 at 7 p.m. The soft-spoken man addressed us with humility, but with such emotional persuasion regarding the most  devastating experience he could endure as a young boy in a concentration camp.  He lost his mother, father and three sisters at the hands of the Nazis. As he addressed the audience, in almost a whisper at times  I thought all his  humiliation and pain he suffered being all in vain. Antisemitism was growing again against Jews all over the world. I dreaded that such a thing could happen to elderly holocaust survivors. Hadn’t they suffered enough already?

So many feeling and questions and wondering where are the impassioned to stop the continuing massacres? Would justice ever established? Why weren’t the perpetrators punished for their crimes and when?

Raphael Lempkin was one such man who could not stay silent about the rampaging evil. He was a Polish lawyer who held a  European Law doctorate.  Raphael had a humble background, his father being a farmer, but his mother was a highly intellectual woman who a linguist, painter and philosophy student.  As a youngster, he mastered ten languages, including French, Spanish, Hebrew, Yiddish and Russian.

As a young man, Raphael was responsible for coining the term in 1943 genocide from two words, the Greek, Genos (family, tribe or race and the Latin cide, (killing). His impassioned advocacy for Genocide came from learning about the Armenians being massacred in Iraq in 1933. He later became very involved with his work regarding international law relating to group exterminations.

Thank God for passionate journalists and human rights advocates who refuse to be apathetic and stay silent about the atrocity of ethnic cleansing. Genocide will not end by itself. It will take a massive  and coordinated effort of many.

Surely we will not be alarmed enough to take action unless it occurs close to home. One powerful scene in “Attack on Darfur” was when one of the male journalists could not  just leave the people of the village they had just visited.  He knew he would not be able to live with himself if he didn’t make some effort to stop the impending slaughter. As the other journalists tried to stop him, he asked,

“What if it were your wife and children back there? What would you do?”

That is the question. What if it were our spouses, children or parents? We Americans live in safety, with police protection at our beck and call.

Another compassionate and brave women opposing Genocide is Natasa Kandic. The sociologist, turned Human Rights Advocate presented a devastating video both to  tribunal prosecutors and the world. She gave them a brazen glimpse into the barbaric world of the ethnic cleansing. I believe all of us should get a good dose of these types of footage so we are not numbed by our own comfort. I pray that compassionate folks around the world take a good look at Genocide and realize…it could happen to us. We must not allow our TV and computers to lull us into a false world of apathy and  nonchalance about suffering people across the globe.

God has created each and every unique person to enjoy dignity and the right to life.

Why don’t we think about it. Rise up as an enlightened people and begin stopping Genocide today.

WORK is GOOD!

In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. He created light and darkness and separated them into morning and evening. He created water and land, then vegetation. The universe and all its expanse was created and then creatures were put on the land and in the sea. Lastly, God created Adam from the dust of the earth. God put Adam in the garden to work it and take care of it. This is the first episode of GOD giving work to the man. God Himself ordained work at the very beginning!

Adam did not spend his days sitting around idly,  there was work to be done tilling the garden and even naming the animals! We can further expound on the realistic need for work as per Saint Paul’s discourses in the new testament.

When Paul addressed the church of Thessalonica, he rebuked those who ambled about idly. He commanded that they earn the bread they eat, (Thes. 3:6-12) Paul said, “If a man does not work, he shall not eat and also that they should never tire of doing what is right.”

I’m curious about the reasons our modern church condones welfare for able-bodied people and even worse,  have yet to any pastors rebuking lazy and idle people! It’s no surprise that the present social  system is not working, but the church hasn’t yet admitted that welfare and is not Biblical.

We must remember that provision is commanded, but the specified for certain people.  James 1:27, Tells us that true religion is looking after the orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself unsoiled from the world. I t says nothing about providing for able-bodied men, (or women for that matter).  The Bible directs us that even women and mothers have their work cut out for them, thus  Paul sets down the ground rules for the work order for the whole community.

1 Tim. 1:6  Tells us that widows cannot be provided for unless they were over sixty, faithfully supported her husband, provided hospitality, raised children, washing the feet of saints, and devoting herself to all kinds of service. God ordained everyone with a job to do. Even the children were commanded to learn and mind their parents.

Part of the problem is non-supervision of the children of  dual-income families and no mentor ship of children from single-parent households.  Whose fault is that…the church!  We are responsible for taking under our wing and teaching children and parents. We have greatly neglected the duty to our converts in place of embracing leisure and  pleasure.

God’s people, (and all people) perish for lack of knowledge. Again and again this refrain rings in my heart and applies to every person God created  in His precious plan!

Another problem is the lack of modeling and raising children under the admonition of the Lord. When little children see laziness, they emulate their parents.  The church must model godly and honest entrepreneurship or our way of life as it is will collapse. The working and middle class are already strained by the illegal immigrants, incarcerated and able-bodied dependents who are draining our economy with all the food stamps and health care.  The FDA, medical establishment and pharmaceutical companies are also  perpetuating sedentary lifestyles, poor health and obesity, but that is subject for another blog. If this trend continues, America will surely collapse.

We can balk and mock the laws set down by God, but He originally created a world and systems of order. His perfect way is without flaw and without chaos. We, in our own selfish rebellious perspectives have strayed from His wise and  glorious path and through neglect are paying heavy consequences. When we are obedient, trusting and following His commands we will always enjoy prosperity and provision. The fear, (reverence) of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and when we adopt our thoughtless mindsets and opinions of how to run a country, community and family, we will ultimately fail. All the answers to our well-being are in God’s word.

My father, Teofilo Ferrer Cepeda was born in Puerto-Rico in 1929 to an industrious, God-fearing Catholic mother.  He was a born entrepreneur at the tender age of 8, selling produce from his parents farm to support his mother and seven brothers and sisters! Papito handed down his strict, no-nonsense work ethic to me and though as a rebellious teenager, despised having to work hard every summer vacation, I now enjoy the fruits and lessons from my beloved father. Today, I’m proud to give God and him the credit for nurturing a deeply-ingrained creative and productive spirit that has supported me through the many storms of my life!

This American culture seems to have bred in its citizens and new immigrants a lazy and selfish mentality. When my mother arrived here from Germany with my father, she didn’t know a word of English. She learned all she could by watching TV. Today,  after many decades of faithful service to her job, she is a supervisor.   The spirit of entrepreneurship and productivity has greatly diminished and I wonder how did the welfare mentality start and why do the recipients think the world owes them? College students graduate expecting a $60,000 a year job, without doing a thing? I’ve seen inmates at the sides of the freeway  picking up garbage and litter.  They should be taught a skill to learn to be self-sufficient How are the inmates being supported? The taxpayers!

I say teach these men the value of productivity. Teach them to build their living quarters, teach them how to grow their own food.  Gifted and skilled men and women should be the  carpenters, farmers, teachers and soul sculptors.  Our welfare system is not working and it’s time for the think tanks to start thinking logically with what God had in mind in the beginning!

The church has a responsibility to rehabilitate the broken, lost and dying. Mother Teresa is a perfect example of one voice who spoke out into the darkness and touched millions of lives in her lifetime.   Her solution was mentoring the young sisters under her to model and give a loving hands on approach to every person who came with a need.  The  church must step up to the plate, not giving a random hand outs but mentoring with tough love. we must once again instill  values of honor, dignity and hard, dedicated work. God has placed a purpose in each and every person. The trick is helping that person to find their niche.

Let us thoughtfully reinstate a pattern for the next generation to follow. There is still time to turn this Titanic around!
