COME and DINE

“I stand at the door and knock,”

Imagine you seated at a long beautifully set banquet table. Only the finest china and goblets gleaming with gold is positioned before each diner. Every cut of meat and poultry has been broiled with only the finest spices. Every succulent fruit imaginable are also included as well as exotic dishes from every culture. After you’ve taken in all the wonderful aromas of the magnificent spread before you, you look around to see who you know in this massive gathering of joyous people. You see your grandparents, co-workers and even your neighbors who had died in a car accident. Everyone looked young and were talking and glowing with joy!

This is the marriage supper of the Lamb depicted in the book of Revelation Chapter 19:9.

Jesus told us much about this wonderful event prepared only for those who served him well and faithfully. Jesus described the parable of the wise and foolish virgins. All the virgins had lamps, but five took no oil. Jesus immediately went into his second discourse about the parable of the talents. Talents are gifts, abilities or resources. Let us never forget that every person who accepts Jesus as their Lord and Savior is given gifts for the edifying of God’s kingdom. It’s very important for us to understand the importance of using our gifts and abilities to the fullest capacity during our lives on earth. The parable ends with the master examining the labors of his three servants while he was away. The first two were faithful and diligent, making a good profit on their share of resources. The master was angry to see that the third servant did nothing with his share! His excuse was that his master was a hard and unappreciative master.

I really love the account of the virgins because of the ideal of being Jesus’ radiant bride preparing for my eternal marriage to him! A betrothed woman in love with her fiance anticipates every moment leading up to marriage and the wedding banquets. Imagine a bride who had no passion or desire for her beloved? Five of the foolish virgins had no oil for their lamps. The five wise virgins must have been so excited and made sure they were well-prepared to meet their future husband. Imagine the group of women moving forward in the dark towards their destination to meet their groom. The foolish virgins noticed their lamps going out. They hadn’t bought extra oil, so when the call came out, “Come and meet the Bridegroom” they had no more Oil. The smart gals refused to share their oil and told the unprepared ones to go and buy some more for themselves. When They came back, the door was shut to the wedding chamber. The prepared virgins were enjoying their beloved while the foolish virgins were banging at the door, begging to join. The bride groom called out, “I do not know you!” How shocked and devastated other virgins must have been. That would have been my greatest nightmare, to be shut out of my own marriage because I didn’t truly Know and love my Groom!

In both accounts, Jesus stresses the rewards waiting. The winners were prepared, they were intimate enough to know what their master and bridegroom expected from them and they were expectant Faithfulness is a required attribute mentioned often in the Bible. Many of us who’ve come to Christ have very little for Him to use, but as we show our joy and commitment as a useable vessel, He gives us a large yield!

Every devoted Child of God who pursues Him with all their hearts will reap the marvelous rewards of servant hood. Jesus said, “My sheep hear my voice”. The closer we get to our Lord, the more intimately acquainted and enamored we are by Him! Jesus told us that the Father was pleased with Him because He did only what pleased. Jesus obeyed, loved and trusted His Father. He set an example for us to follow. Serving the Lord with all diligence draws us into even deeper fellowship, where we became more than servants, we become His friends and even more so, His cherished, adopted children!

Jesus made the exclusive claim, ” I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly” John 10 9 & 10 Some say that other religions offer various ways to heaven and eternal life, but that is contrary to what Jesus said. If they want to follow other roads to heaven and believe that they can enter it by other doors, that is their prerogative, but I wonder why they’d want to risk their eternity by following someone other than Jesus Christ the Only Son of the Most High God and the creator of the universe.

The Psalmist who wrote Psalm 34 urged His reader to “taste and see that the Lord is good. Psalm 34:8. As world events continue to unfold at breakneck speed and developments regarding the rebuilding of the temple in Jerusalem proceed, we know that Jesus’s arrival is near. We must take advantage of the tiny window of time we have to usher in the last great harvest. God’s people need to get that “holy Hook” into those they meet. With all the doomsday prophecies, chaos, economic despair and violence, we must offer the world an enticing, precious and everlasting ticket to the wedding supper. It will be a truly magnificent occasion of celebration. That is what Jesus came for, to free the oppressed, heal the sick and dying and give them nourishment that would sustain them throughout life and where they would never hunger or thirst again.

Jesus offered the Samaritan woman at the well that living water> he also tells us that He is the bread of life!

Are You Hungry? Are You thirsting? Jesus is knocking at the door of your heart. Will you open the door or will you ignore His gentle, pleading voice to come and sup with Him? He has a banquet prepared for everyone who seeks and loves him. Some of God’s people have had wonderful dreams of what the wedding banquet is like. You can check their stories out on You Tube.

Jesus is calling, asking to sup with Him. Will you come and dine!

WHAT FREEDOM MEANS to ME

WHAT FREEDOM MEANS TO ME

This April 2012, I’ve celebrated thirty years of serving Jesus Christ. Looking back, I marvel at my miraculous journey through the minefield my life, beset with life-threatening illness, poverty, loneliness and near death. Freedom is the word to describe my life in Him!

I want to talk to you about freedom. I’m the product of a dark-skinned Puerto-Rican father and an immigrant German mother. My father sought to escape the tyranny of prejudice. Enlisted in the army and stationed in Germany, he met his future bride who he brought with him back to the US mainland . He settled in Long Branch, NJ with plans of raising his four daughters to be educated and successful. America was where anyone’s dream could be realized.

I keep in my heart Papito’s decision to raise us here in America and his influence on my life. He taught me that I could aspire to anything I wanted to and to utilize my American freedom.as an entrepreneur, tradesman or productive citizen. That was what America was about. Most of all being an American citizen has enabled me to be a passionate mouthpiece for the Good News of Jesus Christ, who is the one and only emancipator. Freedom is a gift from God to every human being.

I was born to be God’s handiwork, His masterpiece. Before I was even thought of, He had magnificent plans for me, as He does all His creation. Satan determined that I not be born and even in my mother’s womb, I was baptized with my mother’s tumultuous, bi-polar demeanor. But God ordained me to be born. Satan tried to kill me by taking my breath away countless times while in my father’s arms.

Papito knew I was special, his firstborn. Though born in Germany, I was a United States citizen. In our new country, Papito had a tremendously hard time coping with prejudice and with my mother’s post traumatic stress syndrome. She was haunted by memories of the bombs dropping on her hometown in Germany as a tiny girl. The Nazi/Aryan influences followed her to America. My little sisters, my father and I endured the brunt of her rage and I marvel that he was able to endure such a miserable marriage. He managed as best as he could, teaching me the values of hard work, wisdom and self-sufficiency. Most of all, he taught me all about how God was the source, the essence and everything he was!

During high school, my parents divorced and I ended up on my own. Though Papito had given me a solid foundation of faith/love for God and resourcefulness, I was not at all prepared to face the world. I was fearful, fragile and vulnerable as well as had a shame complex from being a bi-cultural child.

But God had a purpose for me to be born to the parents I had and also for the mistakes I made along the way to emancipation! He threw His life rope, Jesus Christ, in 1983 and my gait was steadied> Test after test faced me. Eventually, I enrolled in college, excelling and soaring in my confidence.

Satan disguises himself as an angel of light and got a foothold in my life through a relationship with a handsome, introspective guy I met at college. I fell for his french love poems and roses and deemed him to be my prince charming. When he accepted the Lord Jesus at a Christian concert, I thought God brought me my partner and soul mate. I agreed to court him and thus began my hellish year and a half of his Jekyll and Hyde demeanor. He threatened to murder me if I didn’t marry him. That time was one of the most daunting trials of my entire life, but God was allowing me to taste what it was like to be enslaved, miserable and alone. As recall, I’d lost all will to live, dwindled down to a skeleton and gave up any hope of ever being happy or free again. It was a grievous test, but God delivered me. Satan sought to enslave me, but Jesus set me free!

What a testimony, my emancipation from childhood abuse/bullying and domestic violence. Are you suffering enslavement? Ask Jesus to set you free!

That was in 1986, I faced many more difficult trials including attacks on my body: near death from a pneumonia, carbon monoxide poisoning, (from a broken heater in my apartment) and chronic Lyme Disease. Yet another malady the past five and a half years, a neurological disorder, Dystonia, has been a great challenge. Some would call this a string of bad luck episodes but what Jesus has done with my life can be nothing shirt of a miracle. Out of all this suffering, I have gained a gift of compassion and desire to mentor.

My gift of compassion and faith-healing happened during a most sublime experience. I ministered to two severely injured men involved in a high-speed head on collision on one of the rural highways near our development. I also have been called to pray at bedside of comatose people about to expire and was asked by the head chaplain to preach my first sermon at a maximum security prison! only could Jesus Christ initiate and transform such amazing episodes.

A favorite new activity, performing with my guitar on Jersey shore board walks and the talking to people from all walks of life has been a joy. Oh, to live in this great country, to share the Gospel without fear of being attacked, raped or arrested. Here n America is where the free bloom like roses! there is still hope for we evangelists to take go’s emancipation to all the streets. This past summer, a friend invited me to join him at the Seaside Heights boardwalk to share the Gospel. We met a group of young ministers who told us that we should enjoy ourselves because the judge told the police officers not to bother the evangelists or they would have to deal with him!

I can only more deeply relish my God-given gift of freedom, but I’ve lately received some disturbing wake-up calls to threat of my deeply cherished commodity. A recent post on a friend’s Facebook page caught my attention. Bridget Gabrielle, anti-terrorist activist gave a compelling speech at a Dallas church last year. I learned that our democracy and Constitution are threatened by militant Muslim terrorists and their agenda is to dominate the world with Islam and Sharia law. She reminded us that we cannot plead ignorance or that terrorism only happens “over there”. Sharia law poses a great threat especially to American women. Gabrielle says:

“We can educate til the cows come home.“Nothing’s gonna change. Education is important, but it not sufficient. Education must be coupled with action. We have something that most countries do not have, our constitution and our Bill of Rights that give us the power to change the world. Don’t just love America, act for America”

Gabriel’s words at the closing of her powerful message were in deep appreciation of the sacrifice of our military.

“Thank you from the bottom of my heart, where an immigrant
like me can escape tyranny and come here and live in this great nation. Where people from all over the world can be free. Thank you for building a nation for me where I can come and be all that I can be, where I can accomplish anything I can accomplish. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, where I can stand up and speak freely without fearing for my life, where I can exercise my freedom
of speech, freedom of the press and freedom of religion. And every other freedom I have. I know my freedom and the freedom of everyone sitting here is built upon your shoulders and your sacrifice.”

Now, this amazing woman is a cherished role models for she echoes my own feelings for my beloved country, America. When European immigrants emigrated from their homelands to come to America through Ellis Island, They sought freedom and the pursuit of happiness, progress and to worship without fear.

My own dear Puerto-Rican father also struggled to make a better life and worked hard to give back to his country. I deeply respect the children of immigrants like senator Marco Rubio who have shared similar stories of watching their parents struggle to attain progress, but with complete freedom in this this wonderful country, America..

We have the freedom to take under our wings the battered, broken and misplaced and teach them about honor, hard work, progress and the pursuit of health and happiness. If we lose America to Islam, we will also lose the great creativity, insight and wisdom of Christian, conservative and human-right activists who seek to guarantee freedom and liberty to all. We will also lose the freedom to provide financial and spiritual resources to countless third-world nations who would not be able to survive without our help. We have been blessed, but we can lose all that our forefathers and our military have envisioned and fought for!

http://www.nytimes.com/2011/03/08/us/08gabriel.html?pagewanted=all&_r=0

I’m shocked at the ignorance of Many of my fellow Americans who have no idea, nor do they care about what is happening to our nation today. Many do not even bother to vote, (and that included evangelical Christians! Tyranny lies await at our border and it’s time for us all to question and investigate what our government is doing.

I believe the ignorance pervading so many may be because of coddled, comfortable childhoods. Perhaps many of you have had loving parents and you never had to struggle. Maybe you’ve never tasted the horror of your town or village being attacked by machete-yielding assassins or got shot as you sneaked out of your bomb shelter to find water I suggest everyone spend an evening watching “Attack on Darfur’, “Hotel Rwanda” or ‘Shindler’s List” Anyone of these will give you a glimpse of the suffering of people under a tyrannic takeover. Yes, it could happen in America.. Islam has .

God had a plan for Brigette Gabrielle, He has a plan for me and he has a plan for you…not to harm you, but to give you a purpose. Does Islam’s god have a loving plan for you? Does Islam have a loving redeemer who sacrificed is own life and left Heaven’s glory and rose from the grave to all enslaved by sin, misery, famine, poverty and death. Jesus Christ, Yeshua HaMashiach is the only one true light and redeemer of mankind.

Don’t be deceive my friend, but leaders and religions who proclaim free health benefits, a bungalow and free education. Look at Russia who are enslaved by socialism. They are amongst the most unhappiest people in the world. Yes, the government gave them all they wanted, their entitlement, but at what price? The Piper will always demand a price.

. “The thief cometh not, but that he may steal, and kill, and destroy: I came that they may have life, and may have [it] abundantly. John 10:10

The anarchy, chaos and genocide are fruits of an evil god and it is time we differentiate between what is evil and what is good.

Jesus came to bring all men abundant life! No other god or religion can promise that.

That’s why I love America…because Jesus lives freely here!

WHAT CAUSED the FALL of of WTC?

The thick, suffocating cloud that exploded from the imploding World Trade Center buildings not only snuffed out the lives of thousands of civilians but also America’s idyllic  dream of peace and protection. A decade later, the survivors of lost loved ones and concerned citizens still question  the cause of one of the most infamous acts of terrorism America has ever experienced.

Who or what caused the destruction of the twin towers?

Though great debates rage around the world by top strategists, government official and religious leaders, the answer stares right at our faces, but much of America has become numb and deluded into disbelieving truth

It all began with the inception of our country by the God-fearing founding fathers. They knew of the power and protection of abiding under the shelter of God almighty and His promise to bless His people if they lived within the constraints of His commands. We’ve come a long way from that  vision’s birthing.

So why was the World Trade Center attacked?  Choice.  Choice, you ask?! God gave us the choice to make decisions whether for bad or good. The terrorists chose to not forgive their enemies and to retaliate with the intent to maim and kill. The American people chose not to vote into office  leaders with integrity and the best interests of their country men.  We, the voters also chose not to vote or to haphazardly believe the hype and eloquent speeches of candidates without researching their values or what they stood for.  We forsook our responsibility at the voting booth because we were lazy, didn’t care and/or didn’t believe in the candidate. and… worse of all, we allowed senseless, immoral and ignorant bigots to take away our freedoms, prayer in schools and government and protection for the lives of the innocent unborn on the pretense of inconvenience.

Who can we blame?

We have ignored the free gift of wisdom God has given us. God’s law was given through Moses to govern His people, The Jews.  God ordained the appointment of judges to govern the people so that justice would not be perverted, (Duet. 16:18).

The great leaders, judges and godly kings like King David, also had a heart after God. King David and Nehemiah, the King’s cup-bearer, who when surveying the wall of Jerusalem wept and prayed for God’s restoration of not only the physical walls, but also the spiritual walls (the hearts) of the people. So, where are repentant and humble leaders today?

God also made provision that the poor, the orphans and  widows to be provided for. Have we made provision for them? America, being such a great nation of affluence, technology and influence, the numbers of our poor have greatly increased and are no longer a small minority. Great folly has permeated this once great nation.

God is watching.

He is allowing evil to weaken the once tightly woven tapestry, the melting pot of the world, America, and to topple the former majesty of our godly foundation. A nation cannot stand when contamination of deceiving half-truths, compromise and immorality are the rule. We are paying a heavy price for trying to edit God out of our constitution.

We cannot blame God for the evil that has transpired over Manhattan, The Alfred Murrah Building in Oklahoma and our Christian missionaries abroad.  Our choices to ignore, to condone and conceal evil and our choice to pervert justice will continue to bring forth dire consequences. God won’t stop us. He lets us do whatever we want and He will continue to grieve knowing well the wonderful path we could have chosen if we obeyed His laws and wisdom.

Our country will continue to languish in debt,  division and uncertainty as well as impending judgment if we continue to foolishly vote for incompetent and greedy leaders and CEOs who care nothing about the rising debt, mass starvation, poverty and the abolishing of the working poor and middle class. God does care about the sickly, disabled widows, the precious babies and the suffering destitute. He weeps for molested little girls and the battered wives  murdered by their own husbands. God weeps to see people defrauded and crushed under the weight of high taxes because of the wasteful spending of greedy government leaders, and unnecessary school administrators who live in opulent, leisurely splendor.

God is watching.

So, why my loyalty to this unseen, cruel God who allowed the WTC to crumble into a heap of ashes at the cost of the lives of courageous emergency personnel, firefighters and police officers?  I’m a humble recipient of countless helps and miracles during the great storms of my life. Even after abuse and attacks, the tender-hearted God of the  orphan and widows came to my aid and made something wonderful out of misery! Rather than me becoming bitter and seeking revenge, He has tamed my fearful, battered heart into one of courage and great compassion for the wounded I’ve met during my travels.

God is always watching.

Men and women of leadership, God is scrutinizing your lifestyles, ideologies and visions. Are they in line with what God has ordained, justice for all, provision, humility and prosperity as a reward for honest, hard work? The penalty in the old testament for sacrificing innocent infants was death, yet millions upon millions of precious voiceless victims are murdered in their own mother’s wombs. We allow perverts and pedophiles more justice than the victims themselves! We wonder in amazement why terrorism has  reduced this once proud and prosperous nation  to the infamous depths of reckless irresponsibility, perversion and  apathy.

Even the minds of our greatest intellectuals have become dull and foolish, devoid of wisdom.

God is watching.

Imagine a people glorifying and then voting for a candidate because he is Black, a beautifully voluptuous woman or a very popular  action hero-movie star  without having any idea of his character, integrity or ideology? America is reaping what we’ve sown and if we continue living beyond our financial means, killing unborn babies and editing His great and Holy name from our constitution, we will enter a Martial, Sharia law or communism.  We are headed for a great cavernous abyss which we will not being able to escape free-falling into.

Now is the time to seriously ponder our past mistakes and turn around in the opposite, (God) direction.  We are still We the People and God will re-adopt us into our rightful heritage if we repent and change the attitudes and motives for our poor choices. The old testament depicts the countless times and judges who have saved the Jews from sin and captivity. We ought to learn a lesson and read the Bible. There is much wisdom to be learned from the mistakes from others!

So….captivity or freedom, anarchy or peace, widespread poverty or prosperity and finally… the annihilation of America as we know it or America the free?

God’s  plan for us is good…and very simple… “Follow that which is just so that you may live and inherit the land, ” (Duet 6:18).

America…will you live or die?
