PRAYER, The Double-Edged Sword

Michael teh Archangel defaring satan-1

Note This article is not for scoffers, mockers and those who disbelieve there is a God, a devil and demonic spirits roaming and destroying mankind. This expository will elaborate on the efficacy of focused and deliberate prayer, coupled with steadfast faith. If you are born-again in Christ, you need to consider this teaching.

Let’s start at the beginning,
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.  John 3:16

When Adam and Eve committed the first sin, by eating of the fruit of the tree of good and evil, they literally handed their dominion over the earth to satan, (Lucifer). Our parents’ sin catapulted all humanity into chaos, separation from our heavenly Father and spiritual death. Despite the devastating consequences, we know that God had a plan to bring his creation back to Himself, by sending His own perfect, Son, Jesus the Christ, to be the sacrificial lamb of cleansing, resurrection and communion. The greatest act which happened to all mankind was Jesus’ victorious resurrection and His redeeming us back to our Father God!. This is the glory of those born-again in Christ! We are now adopted into Christ’s glorious heritage and family and are co-inheritors of all God”s blessings and provisions. This is indeed something we can celebrate and teach others about.  Right now,  Abba  God ( Daddy, in Aramaic)  awaits as many of His sons and daughters to come home to enjoy intimacy through Jesus.

So here we are, many thousands of years after Jesus’ resurrection and victorious dominion over sin,  death and eternal separation from our Heavenly Father . Many have come to the cross, and have come home, but still, innumerable others have chosen to deny God’s precious gift of salvation and communion with God,  Jesus Christ and Holy Spirit. God has blessed His children with a vehicle, prayer

The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results. James 5:16

This scripture doesn’t say the prayers of just any person. He can call himself a Christian, be of a certain denomination or a particular church prays with insincere motives and who really doesn’t seek God’s face. Jesus blasted many of the Pharisee because their prayers were, e lengthy and pious but their hearts were far from God. In many places in the Bible, God tells us to be diligent when we seek Him. God was very particular about communion with him

But from there you will search again for the LORD your God. And if you search for him with all your heart and soul, you will find him. Duet 4:29. Part of growing in our intimacy with God is regularly taking an honest spiritual inventory of our spiritual journey and ask ourselves, “Am I sincerely connecting with Abba’s heart?”

Often, when I approach Abba in my prayer closet, I think to myself, “I don’t feel anything. I don’t believe Father is listening and I feel like a hypocrite or automaton.” When I feel very distant from Father, I back off and come back later when I can focus. I cannot bear to come into His presence with hypocrisy or feeling detached. For may of us, we often feel God is far away, but He will draw near if we sincerely seek His precious face! So often,  because of this movement neurological battle I endure, I cannot connect. Here is where Holy Spirit is always willing to help. I must be honest, without Holy Spirit’s help I could not abide in intimate communion with Abba or be able to even compose a blog  such as this.

Jesus promised us that when He left, he wouldn’t leave us as orphans. He would send the comforter. But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. John 14:26. .
Prayer then, coupled with Holy Spirit’s revelatory unction is God’ channel of intimate communion with his sons and daughters.

I accepted Christ in 1983 and have been part of many Pentecostal, charismatic and Assembly of God church families where I learned the basics. Because of lack of information and deep, Holy Spirit revelation and anointing, I struggled with persistent health issues and the many traumatic events of my life. I was not defeated but I was not victoriously overcoming as my Bible and scriptures promised. I knew something was missing. Something was wrong and I continued to cry out and ask God for divine help!. I was always a woman of prayer and was committed to pray, but I lacked a major component: fellowship with other like-minded, anointed and spirit-filled prayer warriors! Spirit-filled here is the key to a vigorous and victorious prayer life and faith journey. Without the power of the third person of the triune Godhead, we really are helpless and fruitless!

Fast forward 30 years from 1983, my faith journey prayer life and intercessory prowess grows by leaps and bounds. Because of my persistent, asking, seeking and knocking,  I  weekly learn miraculous and divine things from Pastor Augusto’s ministry, The Appearance, Pastor Sandra Gonzalez, Spirit-Filled Life Ministries and the anointed 24/7 NSCP national  intercessor phone conference line group, led my Pastor Eon Peia and Mother Maureen Bravo. These past several years I’vbe experienced the tremendous efficacy of prayer. It is powerful when we pay passionately and with authority to our Heavenly Father who awaits us in the great throne room of grace and power!

How prayer works:

The most successful prayers are heart-felt, nurtured in a intimate relationship with God.’ Although Father can and will hear and answer prayers from new believers
God’s angelic host can be dispatched to help when we ask God in prayer for their help. Psalm 91:11 NLT

God’s word, the Holy scriptures, are powerful. They are able to cut through Satan’s curses, assignments and attacks.. When we fervently believe, we  accept hat power or it won’t manifest! Jesus told us that Father would answer our prayers. You can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it, so that the Son can bring glory to the Father. John 14:13

Prayer is intensified when joined by other like-minded, spirit-filled believers.

Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. Heb 10:25

I cannot stress enough how crucial it is abide within a group of anointed believers. It is beneficial to find a good church where the gifts of the spirit manifest and unfortunately, these powerful, spirit-filled churches are few. How do you know if the church or group is anointed and spirit-filled? You examine the fruits. Are they full of the love and power of Holy Spirit? For some of us, the process of examining fruits may be a lengthy process, but if we ask the Holy Spirit, He will reveal and guide us into all wisdom and revelation. We must also be wary of churches or groups, (cults) which manifest signs and wonders., but which are copied by satan).  Satan is very powerful and can try to imitate the work of the Holy Spirit. Examine the fruit, whether it is good or bad!  We must ask Holy Spirit for discernment

God performs His word when we declare them in faith!

The LORD said to me,  (Jeremiah) “You have seen correctly, for I am watching to see that my word is fulfilled. Jer. 1:2 NIV

Pastor Derrik Prince has a wonderful video on Declaring God’s word. He knows firsthand how to demolish the satanic stronghold on this earth. God’s word is our sledgehammer and our double-edged sword. .

The Power of Proclamation, Derrik Prince

Applying the Blood of Jesus to our prayers, loved ones and everyone in our circle of contact

Teacher-Prophetess Billye Brim teaches on the power of Jesus blood.

Our responsibility should be to passionately explore the whole gamut of the spiritual realm and apply its precepts and protocol to our daily lives. Only by focused, relentless and courageous effort will we be able to thrive in the hostile spiritual atmosphere we abide in at present. Everyday, countless millions are hindered, tormented and/or killed by demonic spirits and the battle becomes even more daunting as more evil spirits are released from the abyss. Now is not the time for God’s people to relax or turn their backs on God. The lives of our relatives, co-workers, neighbors and everyone we rub shoulders with, depend on our Spirit-anointed prayers and intercessions.

Pastor John Eckert’s powerful declaration video speaks all about God’s miraculous Exousia and Dunamis power!! This video will change your life.

If you are to survive the ever-brutal and worsening darkness, you need to diligently apply spiritual warfare disciplines. Nothing can separate us and we overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony. Remember, you have all authority and satan and his demons are under your feet! \

God bless you, courageous warrior of teh most high God, Jehovah Sabaoth!!v

KOINONIA, The Glory of Unity

DWNLOADED 9-24-2012 099

The Koinonia, the gathering of the true saints of God, as depicted in the book of Acts, was one of the most glorious periods in the history of the early church.  Meeting together was not obligatory, but filled with the anticipation of intimate fellowship. No wonder saint Paul urged God’s people to not forsake the gathering together of believers. There is something very powerful about sitting face to face and eye to eye with our Christian brothers and sisters.  Our Heavenly father delights in the richness of our spiritual communion and Jesus said that where two or three joined together agreeing on anything in prayer, Father would be delighted to give it.

We often hear about lone rangers who prefer to live solitary lives perhaps because of having been hurt or betrayed in a past relationship. I tell them to expect that when crisis calls, you will need the help of others.

Fellow shipping with the saints, (Koinonia from the Greek), is the environment where we can sharpen our love walks.  In the midst of many personalities will be found opportunities to hone ourselves in the fruits of the spirit. As iron sharpens iron, so sharpen we each other. In the presence of many personalities we will find reasons for the number one fruit of the spirit to be in action.

There are not enough pastors who expound the necessity and richness of  abiding in true Christian Koinonia. to their flock.  Rewards abound regarding the growth process and seeing each others lives unfolds as the petals of a flower! Growing together and nurturing each other makes for powerful marriages, families and communities. There will always be hurt, rejection or misunderstandings when relating to others, but if we continue to be open and take risks emotionally, God will connect us with people who love and accept us unconditionally. All of us should aspire to  fine tune our love walks. If  the fruits of the spirit are not evident in our lives, something is wrong.

My unconventional outlook on life as artist-musician-journalist bursting with  spontaneity and vision had caused misunderstanding and miscommunication with a few friends who misunderstood my motive and heart. These broken relationship hurt deeply but Father God has been gracious in helping me develop a forgiving spirit. I learned the importance of  addressing my grief and disappointment and then moving on.No matter what good intentions we have,  we will always  have to deal with rejection or misunderstanding. We have to learn from our mistakes and move on. God has blessed me with a small circle of people who love me unconditionally, even if they do not understand where I’m coming from. Treat all relationships with tenderness and respect. We can learn from everyone, no matter what their background or age, and even little children can teach us amazing, deep things!

God always wants us to walk in forgiveness and understanding. Somewhere down the line, regardless of our best intentions, we too will hurt or disappoint our friends and loved ones.

The law of love is one the most important aspects of living in Christ and yet love sometimes can be the least important thing on our agenda. We live in such a fast-paced world that we depend on  the convenience of  technology to fill the gap of emptiness. It has instead numbed our need for human fellowship. We lose the ability to be sensitive, thoughtful and heaven-minded! Love must always reign in our hearts and motives and everyone, from the newbie babe in Christ to the oldest, mature bishop needs that one on one Koinonia.

One asked Jesus, “When did we feed you, give you water, clothe you or visit you in prison?” mat 25:37&38 Jesus answered that if we did it to the least, we have done it unto Him.  Thus, we are required to fill a need when we are suddenly presented with it.

God loves when we serve and give alms. Mat 19:@. The church is in a weak place today because of a lack of unity and a sincere desire to be in fellowship with each other.  Only by intimate connection with each other can we learn to cherish and nourish each other, not only with the material but also with the spiritual bread. Paul tells us in Eph.5:1 to live our lives as a fragrant offering.

When you are with another brother or sister, are they blessed and nourished by your presence or do you repel them?  Do we try to live peaceably with others or are we always debating or scrutinizing the small stuff, (grey areas of living our lives) ? Rom. 14:13 ? God has called us be humble and not to think of ourselves higher than others or to despise others who are weak or young in their faith. The fruit of love is patient kind, long-suffering

We can find all we need to know about love in 1 Corin.14. It doesn’t matter how many languages we are fluent in, how amazingly we prophesy or sing like an angel, if we love not we are nothing.
When Koinonia is operating, there is a spilling over, an overflow of love. Koinonia first begins when we humbly sit at the feet of our Abba Father. Sometimes, sitting at Father’s feet, first thing after I wake up,  my spirit soars acknowledging how much He loves me! I count my blessings and sing praises to Him.  You can’t help but be full of love and that loves flows out of yo as you rub elbows with those around you.

The killers of Koinonia are spirits of religion, gossip, envy, strife, bitterness and debate. We must carefully guard our hearts and our relationships so that God’s love can flourish. Blessed are the peacemakers for they are the children of God! Let us be wary of any spirit that divides and causes suspicion, so Father can bless our endeavors and soul-winning! Beware of suspicion, criticism or harshness. A thoughtful pause before a soft answers heals a multitude of otherwise  negative consequences. Correct  with a spirit of meekness. when we are rebuke, we should mete grace to ourselves. How often we take a correction or rebuke very harshly and condemn ourselves.

Koinonia also rejoices in all the supernatural gifts of the Spirit and is not fearful or offended by those who speak in other tongues or express themselves in the prophetic. Paul himself said, “I would like for every one of you to speak in tongues” 1 Cor 14:5

In these violent, self-centered and arrogant times, we more than ever need the power of the supernatural Holy Ghost. Only that dynamite power can  change and overcome the all-compassing evil of our enemy. It’s to the church’s and the world advantage that every child of God be so divinely equipped!

Kononia is truly one of the most glorious gift Father God endowed us with. When the Bride is walking in true love, they are walking in true unity and power. When laughter, joy, thankfulness and compassion flow, there is healing and victory!
Ask Father to connect you with vibrant believers today!
